John D. Botefuhr, DC

A Dallas native and Highland Park High School graduate, Dr. John Botefuhr received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma (1992) where he was also a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Upon graduation Dr. Botefuhr worked at Hillcrest Hospital in Oklahoma City for 3 years and interned as a Physical Therapy aide at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Santa Fe N.M. He went on to receive a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles (2000). With over ten years of experience in chiropractic care, Dr. John specializes in workers compensation and personal injury cases as well as family practice and sports injuries.

Work & Accident Clinic HOURS OF OPERATION are Monday through Friday from 9:30am-5:30pm and Saturdays by appointment only.

WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC?

"Chiropractic" comes from the Greek word Chiropraktikos, meaning "effective treatment by hand."

Dr. Botefuhr will use a standard procedure of examination including case history, physiical examination and x-rays (as needed) to diagnose your condition and consult with you to determine the most effective course of treatment to alleviate your physical pain and improve the mobility of your body.

The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.” The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become restricted in movement as a result of a tissue injury. Tissue injury can be caused by a traumatic event or through repetitive stresses.

Additionally we provide ultra-sound care, massage therapy and rehabilitation therapy.

Q: My case is a mess and I am not getting help anywhere do I need an attorney?
A: Not necessarily. Many times your problems are due to unfiled paperwork or information that needs to go to the right people. At Work Accident Clinic we will provide as much assistance as possible to help you avoid having to pay attorney fees.

Q: My job is telling me I have to go to a certain doctor, is that true?
A: Many employers have opted in to workers' compensation networks. Our clinic is in most of the networks. You can usually choose a doctor within the network and it is best to choose your own doctor within the network.
